Case Studies
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center’s (GSFC) Mechanical Integrated Services and Technologies (MIST) Contract
ATAA supported NASA’s GSFC for formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of space flight and ground system hardware and software, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions. The engineering areas were multidisciplinary with concentration in the mechanical engineering areas of materials, structural analysis and loads, mechanical design, electromechanical design, thermal, contamination and coatings, manufacturing, and integration and test.
Throughout the life of the MIST contract, ATAA provided exceptional support for a variety of NASA’s flagship missions including: JWST, GOES, RST, ATLAS/ICESat, LCRD, PACE, WFIRST, NICER, and OSIRIS-Rex among many others.
United States Air Force, Kirtland Air Force Base, Space Technology Research and Integrated Vehicle Experiments (STRIVE)
ATAA supported the United States Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/RV) for research, engineering, and technical management for space technology concept development, analysis, development, integration, experimentation, demonstrations, and evaluation in support of the AFRL/RV mission, including cradle-to-grave processes and functions for a range of experimental complexity.
ATAA supported critical missions including: the Small Satellite Portfolio (SSP); Demonstration and Science Experiments (DSX); Next Flight Experiment Program (NFEP), ESPA Based Experiments among others.
